Needle guide – TargetPro is the answer
The „TargetPro“ needle guide was developed especially for the BK Ultrasound transducers 8818/8808e/E14C4t. For MRI fusion biopsies of the prostate, it is important to reach all areas of the prostate. The prostate should be deformed only as little as possible. This was not possible, especially with biopsies in the apical and ventral areas of the prostate. Deformation caused a loss of precision in the fusion between MRI and ultrasound. The solution is now offered by the „TargetPro“ needle guide. Due to its unique design, the biopsy needle is brought upwards at a 42-degree angle without having to tilt the transducer. The area of the prostate that is accessible to a biopsy needle is thus considerably extended.
The angle of inclination is achieved without having to raise the needle insertion channel further, so that the patient does not have to fear any injuries when using „TargetPro“.
The needle guide „TargetPro“ can only be used in combination with our MRI fusion system „BioJet“.
