MRI fusion in real time
Taking prostate biopsies with BioJet is a quick, outpatient procedure. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia and only requires the attending physician. With the BioJet software, you fuse the MR images – both in the transverse and sagittal plane – with your live ultrasound image. You only need three simple steps to do this. This gives you a real-time 3D model of the prostate.
Suitable for your workflow
The BioJet system can be easily integrated into your existing clinic or practice routine: Our software is PACS-compatible and the software’s radiology tool enables smooth collaboration with your radiologist. BioJet also provides you with comprehensive documentation of the procedure to support you in the evaluation.
One-handed punch biopsy
Biopsy with the included positioning system allows you to take accurate, precise samples. Our hardware ensures that the ultrasound probe remains fixed while you operate the biopsy needle with one hand. Use our guide grids or perform the biopsy freehand.
Advantages of our system in MRI fusion for prostate cancer diagnosis
The BioJet software is compatible with common image storage and communication systems.
The fusion of your ultrasound image with the MRI image takes place live. This allows you to easily identify suspicious areas.
Each biopsy taken is marked in the BioJet software with a single click. A 3D visualization allows you to track the biopsies taken in real time. You also receive documentation of the procedure at the end.
The BioJet system is set up at your premises so that it is optimally adapted to your needs. You will then receive technical training for the system.
The SoLo A posistioning system included in the package can also be used for other applications.
Our software is based on collaboration between urology and radiology. That’s why you receive the tool for radiology included.
The software creates a three-dimensional model of the prostate from MRI and TRUS in real time.
Software
Our software enables the real-time fusion of MRI with TRUS and the precise removal of biopsies. BioJet also includes a radiology tool to facilitate collaboration between departments.
Fahrwagen
The mobile trolley contains the computer for the software. Setup is carried out on site by us or a certified dealer.
SolidLock HS
The SolidLock medical articulated arm holds its attachments in position. Six degrees of freedom allow 360° movement in space.
Stepper A
With our Stepper A, you guide the probe step by step through the examination. Available for transperineal (pictured) or transrectal procedures.
Encoder
Our encoders transmit the position and rotation of the ultrasound probe to our software in real time.

BioJet: Three steps to prostate cancer diagnosis with MRI fusion
Our BioJet fusion system impresses with its intuitive operation, high precision and consistently good results! In three simple steps, our MRI fusion software helps you to identify possible prostate carcinomas: 1. contouring of the prostate and suspicious areas using the MRI images – 2. fusion of your ultrasound image with the MRIs – 3. biopsy extraction in ROIs and comparison sites.
One-handed biopsy with the BioJet system
Our BioJet software enables you to perform MRI ultrasound fusion in real time, alone and “hands-free”. You are supported by our hardware, which ensures precise guidance and reliable fixation of your ultrasound probe. While you operate the needle and software, the probe remains firmly positioned. This is because it is fixed in place by our positioning system. This saves your second hand for other examination methods.
Solutions for transperineal and transrectal biopsies
The BioJet fusion software is appropriate for executing both transperineal and transrectal biopsies.
For MRI-assisted prostate biopsies, the transrectal approach has often been chosen in the past. The procedure is widely used among urologists and is performed quickly. Especially since local anesthesia is sufficient in many cases.
The transperineal approach is becoming increasingly popular. It is more lenient on your patients, pain-free and carries virtually no risk of sepsis. The procedures are typically performed under anesthesia.
We recommend transperineal biopsies when working with BioJet. This method is not yet a common practice, but it is more forbearing for the patients.
High compatibility with ultrasonic probes and devices
Thanks to the modular design of our steppers, the BioJet system is compatible with a wide range of ultrasound devices and probes. This means that we can adapt the supplied positioning system to your existing inventory.
MRI fusion, the gold standard in prostate cancer diagnosis
The fusion of TRUS and MR images has established itself as the gold standard in prostate cancer diagnostics. A system on which our software is also based. Instead of a systematic punch, BioJet gives you the appropriate coordinates for the suspicious areas. This enables you to perform biopsies with greater accuracy and care for your patients.
Simple data transfer thanks to BioJet
In addition to the urology software, BioJet also includes a radiology version to improve cooperation and data transfer between radiology and urology. Our fusion software enables simple data transfer to HiFu systems. The software is also fully PACS-compatible and integrates seamlessly into the regular workflow of your clinic or practice.
Components of the system can be used for other processes
In addition to the software for MRI fusion, the BioJet system includes the SolidLock articulated arm and the SoLo A positioning system. Both systems can be used independently of the software, such as for cryotherapy and brachytherapy procedures. Due to the modular structure of our SoLo A system, we are able to provide extensive compatibility with ultrasound devices and ultrasound probes.
